Beat the challenge of a daily run in July within the #SmartChallenge? This is the goal that Carmen, @_Thinking_healthy on Instagram, has managed to achieve by scheduling an intense series of running sessions over 5 days. How did she do it?

Hello everyone! I’m new here, so let me introduce myself: my name is Carmen Roldán and you can find me on social media as @_thinking_healthy. I am 28 years old, studied nursing, and for about 8 years sport has been part of my life.

Through social media I like to share my lifestyle, always healthy, with a series of contents where I try to combine the knowledge I have as a professional nurse, along with my favorite pastimes, such as running, taking photographs, and, of course, healthy cooking recipes full of natural ingredients and perfect for a daily active and sporty routine. For this reason, I like to use Instagram to show the meals I prepare every day, all of them simple and delicious.

But my social media is not just about recipes. Through these platforms I also usually post the routines and workouts I set for myself daily, something that also serves as personal motivation to keep setting goals in a steady way. And if you add to all this some content more oriented to my lifestyle side, you can get a rough idea of what the whole @_thinking_healthy world is about.

How did I take on the daily run challenge?

When the folks at @Spc_spain challenged me, I didn’t hesitate to accept at any moment. Between work and all the daily chores, I must admit that in recent months my running consistency hasn’t been what I would have liked. For these reasons, the #SmartChallenge proposal they sent me from the brand came at the right time, because it was exactly what I needed to have a daily goal to meet and thus self-motivate. You know that if we want to have a healthy and ambitious lifestyle regarding the goals we set, the mind and willpower, guided by clear aims, are key.

Since I received the SPC Smartee Sport, a few weeks ago, I have been attached to it to try it out and see how it responds, and honestly, the device has exceeded expectations. Besides being able to use it for running, this wearable serves to keep a daily record of your activity. Thanks to it, I have discovered that on days I don’t run and work, I have to make an effort to move more or walk, and that I need to go to bed earlier, although with the heat now I find it a bit difficult to achieve, but I am still determined to meet this goal too!

The best thing about the watch without a doubt is how easy it is to use. It is a very intuitive device that, since it has a touch screen, makes monitoring sleep, heart rate, and daily steps extremely simple, along with managing everything related to notifications, calls... And there is another detail that caught my attention greatly, which is how quickly it finds the GPS. When you are trying to monitor your physical activity, accuracy in geolocation is a fundamental aspect to measure your routes and the pace you keep while running.

Being part of #SmartChallenge has been a unique experience, very rewarding and tough at the same time. This challenge has managed to push me out of my comfort zone and, just for that, it has been something worthwhile.
