It is well known that one of the main household expenses during the winter months is heating. With gas prices at record highs, any advice that helps us save on the monthly bill is more than welcome. One of the first steps we all take at home is to reduce heating hours or even turn off radiators in rooms we don’t use. However, these precautions are of little use if we don’t consider others, such as not wasting heat when we’re not at home. We’ve all experienced coming home to find the heating on, even though the house is empty, due to an unexpected event or change of plans. To avoid this unnecessary gas consumption, which only wastes energy and increases our bill, we can install smart valves like the VESTA STARTER KIT on radiators to control their on and off remotely. This way, if something unexpected comes up, you can easily turn off the valves from anywhere using the SPC IoT app. The use of these devices goes beyond that. They are practical and useful even for comfortably managing the radiators in other rooms while sitting in the living room.
