Alcaraz's juggling and other hidden talents of celebrities

Irene Manterola

Recently, the young Spanish tennis star, Carlos Alcaraz, surprised attendees at the Roland Garros match with circus juggling using his racket, impossible for most mortals. This skill of the Murcian was so unknown to the public and his performance so masterful that even the Grand Slam organization posted the show on their social media with a video that has already surpassed 10 million views on TikTok alone.     Faced with this pleasant surprise, we wondered what other popular faces might hide secret talents, and these are some we found.   Justin Bieber masters the Rubik’s Cube Fans of the young singer will know that, since he was a child, he was able to play several instruments—self-taught! What might have gone more unnoticed in his biography is his mastery of the Rubik’s Cube. A few years ago, Bieber gave an exclusive demonstration of his skill with the toy during a visit to Pablo Motos’s show. The excitement was such that he repeated the experience and success. Susan Sarandon, ping pong expert Ping pong is the typical activity that we’ve all played at some point, with varying degrees of skill. Well, actress Susan Sarandon is an expert on the subject. So much so that a few years ago she decided to open her own ping pong club-bar. Geena Davis always hits the mark We don’t know if on the set of Thelma & Louise, Geena Davis had to learn archery due to script requirements (it doesn’t seem so because there’s no scene with this weapon in the film). But what is undeniable is that the actress is a professional in this discipline. And when we say “professional,” we mean it, because in 1999 she competed in the Olympic Games. Angelina or Tomb Raider? There are several movies in which Angelina Jolie has had to take on the role of a private detective, a heroine, or a daring archaeologist. In fact, it seems that it was on the set of Tomb Raider when the actress learned to throw butterfly knives until she became a professional in the art. Pierce Brosnan breathes fire Years before debuting in the seventh art, Pierce Brosnan had to work various jobs. Notably, the time he worked in a traveling circus where he learned the technique of "fire eating." Once his acting career had begun, the writers of Remington Steele decided to take advantage of Pierce's fire skills and wrote an episode set in a circus where, coincidentally, Brosnan had to play a fire eater. The artist retired from circus arts in 1996 when, during a Muppets show (or Los Teleñecos, as the program was called in Spain), the fire trick didn’t go as planned and he slightly injured his mouth.
