Discover “Only You,” the new from Spotify

Today we talk about another of our favorite applications, Spotify. We know we are not alone on this ship; after all, it is the streaming music platform with the highest number of users worldwide. If we add the paying users and those who connect to the free version of the app, they exceed 350 million. To keep so many millions happy and satisfied, the company strives to release new features from time to time. The latest has been “Only You”. Evolve or perish!

In this new feature, Spotify places you as its central focus since it starts from the songs, albums, and singers you like the most to offer you, in the form of stories, music according to your tastes and creative combinations of artists. And to give it that touch of virality that everything must have in the 21st century, you can share the different results the app proposes and interact with your community.

MUSICAL HOROSCOPE

Another of the new features that “Only You” includes is a playlist that, like an astrological chart, shows you your preferences. For this, it uses each person’s sun sign to show their most listened-to singers recently, the moon sign to show the music that expresses our emotional and vulnerable side, and the rising sign, which gathers the artists we have connected with most recently.

THE DINNER OF YOUR DREAMS

If this information still leaves you wanting more, you always have the option to organize a dinner with your two favorite artists. For this, you have to choose those two artists you would go to dinner with one night, and this new Spotify feature creates a mix with their best songs.

But there is more. If all this has not quenched your thirst for music, songs, and artists, with “Only You” you will have the chance to discover "the year of your song," to know when that song you sing and repeat over and over was released.

Together with “Only You,” the company has launched the “Music for Two” feature, thanks to which two friends can merge their tastes and create a single list including songs suggested by both. A warning to users: this option is still in beta version, as the app itself warns.

We have read everything, that this feature is only valid for Premium users, that it is available for both Premium and free users, that not everyone will be shown their astrological chart… It is something so new that there is no clear information yet; but just in case, here we briefly explain how you can see if you are one of those lucky ones who will be able to use all the features of this new Spotify option.

The first thing we recommend is to update Spotify to its latest version and enter the application. On the Home screen, you will see a section called “Only You,” and in it, you can tap a banner named “Discover your listening habits.” Then personalized stories will start to appear that you can share on your social profiles so your community knows your favorite music style, the artists you listen to the most, etc.
