The Last of Us Part II
One of the most anticipated sequels of one of the most successful sagas has become the game with the most GOTY (Game of the Year) awards in all history. It is The Last of Us Part 2.
That sequels were never good? Just ask the company responsible for developing this game, Naughty Dog. Surely their version is very different from the popular saying. The Last of Us 2 stands as the game with the most GOTY awards, not only of 2020 but in all history. It has even surpassed other industry giants like The Witcher 3 Wild, which was released in 2015 and in 2016 received this same recognition with 260 GOTY awards.
Currently, Naughty Dog's title has accumulated a total of 281 GOTY awards: 180 from the media and 101 from the public. It is curious and revealing that in third place on the list of video games with the most awards we find the first The Last of Us, with 254 accolades, just behind the aforementioned The Witcher 3 Wild.
It is very interesting to see how Naughty Dog has taken that game it created a few years ago, which already seemed like a masterpiece back then, and has improved it to the point of surpassing it.
STORY OF A REVENGE
The Last of Us 2 does not deceive; the official game trailer already makes it clear from the start that it is a story of revenge. The first thing we hear when playing it is Ellie saying the following words: "I plan to find and take down every last one of them."
This second part of the successful saga is revenge and much more. Naughty Dog's new creation is filled with characters, twists, and emotions that provoke unexpected and even contradictory reactions in the viewer.
