The Island of Temptations, audience leader

Third parts, they have always been good!

The third edition of Telecinco’s great success, “The Island of Temptations,” has come to complete the saying “second parts were never good” with “but thirds were better than all the previous ones.” This third installment, which began filming in the midst of the pandemic, has broken all the goals set by the team and production company.

The story is identical to past editions: 5 couples who seek to test themselves before a group of single men and women who try to make them fall into temptation. The couples are separated and taken to a luxury villa in the Caribbean. One novelty has marked this latest edition: the light of temptation.

Such a simple device has been key to raising the expectations of contestants and audience and increasing the viewing figures compared to previous years. It was nothing more than a sound and light alarm that went off in one of the villas when someone from the other villa crossed the limits that couple had set. As you may have seen, and if you haven’t, you can imagine, in this new edition it did nothing but sound and sound and sound.

Tears, crying, nerves, laughter, confessions… and temptations. This has been the chronological order of the emotions that the famous light of temptations has caused in the inhabitants of both villas. Part of the audience may have identified with the protagonists of these stories and another part may have become hooked on the television spectacle that all this has meant. Either way, what cannot be denied is the audience success achieved by this third installment that has beaten any other data recorded by the two previous seasons.

7 CURIOSITIES YOU DIDN’T KNOW ABOUT “THE ISLAND OF TEMPTATIONS”

The filming of this latest edition had to be temporarily halted

In the midst of the whirlwind of recordings, a member of the production team began to feel unwell and showed symptoms compatible with COVID_19. As a precaution, the production company decided to temporarily suspend filming to test the team.

Do you want to rent one of the villas?

If you want to feel the same emotions and live firsthand what the protagonists of the 3 editions of “The Island of Temptations” have experienced, you have the possibility to rent Villa Beach or Villa Mountain for a price of about 800 euros per day or 5200 euros per week. As has been more than proven on the show, both are two large luxury houses in the Dominican Republic. What we do not know is whether the production company would manage to negotiate a better price for filming each season.

Only one week of rest between one edition and another

During last summer (2020) the second and third editions of 'The Island of Temptations' were filmed. The filming team had only one week in between to rest, although they also had to prepare the shooting of the third season.

Many fake couples try to participate

It was more than clear from the first edition that this program was a springboard to leave anonymity for many people. For that reason, many fake couples applied for the castings of the last 2 seasons. The selection task of the Cuarzo Producciones team became quite complicated, but in the end, they hit the mark.

Mónica Naranjo expected a pay raise that she did not receive

The host of the first edition of the program was one of the great bets of Cuarzo Producciones. The truth is that it worked well, so much so that Monica Naranjo considered she deserved a pay raise if they wanted to continue counting on her in the next editions; but Mediaser Spain denied it and the singer stopped hosting the show. She was replaced as host by Sandra Barneda.

Do you remember Melyssa’s escape to the Villa where Tom was? How did she do it?

Something that left all the viewers as shocked as the “Estefaníaaaaaaa” of the first edition was Melyssa Pinto’s escape from Villa Beach to go see her boyfriend (now ex-boyfriend) Tom Brusse at Villa Mountain. The viewers were left wondering how she could get from one Villa to the other without being seen and without knowing the way. The young woman took advantage of a moment when much of the team was filming a confrontation bonfire at another point on the island.

The villas are only 5 minutes apart

Villa Beach and Villa Mountain are only five minutes apart on foot. Both luxury residences are in the same housing development and are rented along with the space where the bonfires and other key locations of the reality show take place.
