Discover the following multi-conference apps
During these weeks of lockdown, multi-conference applications have been experiencing great growth. Special mention goes to Houseparty, an app that allows up to 8 people to talk simultaneously and play a series of online games it includes, many of them free. All this has made it the most downloaded app in Spain on Google Play in the first week of lockdown due to the Covid-19 crisis.
The trendy multi-conference application in recent weeks offers a peculiarity compared to other apps of the same style. The key in this app is interaction—the more, the better. For this reason, one of its options is to join other video conferences that your friends are having with their other friends. Although it is also possible to lock the virtual “room” where a video conference is taking place to avoid unexpected interruptions. You can also send messages and videos to your contacts.
Another feature that characterizes Houseparty is the possibility to play online with the friends you are video calling. The app includes a large number of free games and also offers paid game packages. This has actually caused a serious controversy that has recently come to light.
The controversy over the alleged hacking
As an app with micro-payments, many users had synchronized it with their bank data. Although it is not exactly known what happened, some users claim a serious problem if you have synchronized Houseparty with PayPal and say that someone has accessed their accounts and taken all kinds of information, from their phone number or password to bank details. For now, the company owning the application (the same as Fortnite) denies any problem.
Friends, if you have House Party installed, search "House party hacked" on Twitter and you will realize that bank accounts, Netflix, Facebook, Instagram are being hacked, photos and personal data are deleted, I uninstalled it just in case, judge for yourselves😟 I don’t know how true it is lol pic.twitter.com/t1nCaT3YaN

There is life after HOUSEPARTY
Houseparty is one of the star apps of the moment to stay in touch with our friends and loved ones while this quarantine lasts, but there are more options:
This application for making online calls has more than 20 years behind it, becoming the forerunner of other applications with similar features.
This instant messaging application is the best known and most used in the world. Owned by Facebook since 2014, since then WhatsApp has seen changes such as the ability to upload stories and make video calls through the application.
The main drawback of this is that it can only be used by users who have iOS. The application allows meetings of up to 32 people at once. Also, you only need the phone number or Apple ID to call the other person through FaceTime.
Choose the one that best suits your uses and needs and don’t waste a second to stay connected with your closest ones while following the instructions of #StayAtHome.
