In these days of lockdown, many artists are surprising with new ways of leisure and entertainment for their followers: concerts on Instagram, collaborations with other artists, etc. But what few have done is an appearance in Fortnite like the one performed by the rapper Travis Scott.
The popular video game Fortnite, by Epic Games, prepared a spectacular virtual stage for an online event that gathered more than 12.3 million players. The concert of the rapper Travis Scott (more than 10 million subscribers on Youtube), called Astronomical, began at 1:00 a.m. on April 24th.
It all began with the crash of a meteorite and the sudden appearance of a gigantic version of Travis Scott, who was accompanied by digital dancers.
At this moment, the background song changed from “HIGHEST IN THE ROOM” to “SICKO MODE” and he began to sing the famous hit he had in duet with the rapper Drake.
All this took place on an aerial dance floor where attendees could float and enjoy striking visual effects. In fact, there were several moments that left users speechless, such as when everything filled with fire or when the neon lights became the stars of the show.
The occasion also served the rapper to present his new single, THE SCOTTS, in which he collaborates with Kid Cudi.
Judging by the reaction of players online, Astronomical was one of the best events in Fortnite’s history of all time. It is easy to find positive opinions and praise on social networks towards the virtual concert, highlighting how original and spectacular the images they saw were and the experience lived.
