Why are humans interested in gossip?

Well, it seems the answer lies in our mind. We’re going to explain 3 cases where we feel attracted to the lives of others.

1.- We're interested in the lives of celebrities: this is because our mind recognizes the faces of popular figures as familiar and known faces. Thanks to the Internet, social media, news outlets, etc., we are used to constantly seeing celebrities. So much so that our mind makes us think they are actually people we know. That's why we feel drawn to their lives and experiences.

2.- We're interested in bad news about others: and again, the key lies in our brain. Problems faced by people we consider superior and/or rivals are understood by our brain as potential benefits in our favor.

3.- We're also interested in good news, especially about our own: somewhat along the same lines as before, our brain feels happy when something good happens to our loved ones. Why? Because our mind interprets that if our friends and family are doing well, we will somehow benefit from their good fortune.

You no longer need to hide it. If you're also interested in what happens to others, go on TikTok and take a stroll through #salseoentiktok to feed your craving for gossip.
