SPC Care: the superpower of Safety on the International Day of Older Persons

Every October 1st, we celebrate those who have built our present: older adults. Their experience, resilience, and calmness are superpowers that inspire us. But in 2025, technology can add one more: the superpower of Security.

In the 4th SPC Seniors Week, we want to highlight how our app SPC Care helps older adults live more peacefully and their families feel safer.

The superpower of Security

Security is not just the absence of danger; it is the certainty that, no matter what happens, someone is there to help you. That is the role of SPC Care: to offer seniors a more protected daily life, and their families the peace of mind of always being connected.

How does SPC Care work?

SPC Care is the first free app in Spain that allows remote management of smartphones for seniors from SPC, such as the new ZEUS 2. With it, family members or caregivers can accompany from a distance in a simple and respectful way, making life easier for older adults. They just need to download the app on their smartphones from the official Google or Apple stores and start helping and caring for their loved ones remotely.

Here are some of its main features:

  • Remote configuration
Allows adjusting essential parameters of the ZEUS 2 PRO and ZEUS 2 from the caregiver’s phone: increasing volume if the person has trouble hearing, enlarging font size, activating WiFi or mobile data, or even configuring the SOS button and organizing icons on the screen (arranging them, creating folders, or fixing them to avoid mistakes). Also, upcoming updates will allow managing the contacts list.
  • Safety alerts and activity notifications
SPC Care notifies if the battery is low, if the SOS button has been pressed, or if the device remains inactive for 8, 12, or 24 hours. It also alerts changes in settings or icon movements, helping detect unusual situations and respond in time.
  • Real-time location
Thanks to GPS, family members can know the device’s location to confirm, for example, that the senior has arrived at their destination or is returning home safely.
  • Health reminders
Allows scheduling alerts for medical appointments or medication reminders, supporting daily care in a practical and accessible way.
  • Collaborative management
Multiple caregivers can manage the same profile or handle different profiles from a single device, facilitating shared assistance within the family.

Security that improves health

Security not only provides peace of mind: it is a pillar of healthy aging. When a senior feels protected:

  • They gain confidence to maintain their autonomy.
  • They live with less anxiety and more calmness.
  • They are encouraged to go out, socialize, and enjoy new experiences.
  • Their caregivers rest better, knowing everything is under control.

A commitment that unites us

With SPC Care, at SPC we reaffirm our commitment to putting technology at the service of people. Because every senior deserves to live this stage with dignity, confidence, and security.

This October 1st, International Day of Older Persons, we celebrate their superpowers and present ours: the Security that comes from feeling and knowing you are accompanied at all times.
