Delete your Facebook account Is it possible to vanish from social networks?

Is it possible to disappear from social networks?

Suspending your profile is much easier than deleting your Facebook account. The option is hidden and you will have to look for it to be able to delete it permanently.

It is possible to disappear from social networks, although there will always be a trace of the content you have shared or what you have posted. The main services of this kind, such as Facebook, do not want you to leave their social network and therefore will try to make it difficult for you to go.

Deactivate your Facebook account

If you want to delete your Facebook account you have two options. The first is a temporary deactivation of the account. This is visible and you can use it whenever you need. It is possible that at some point in your life you decide you want to take a break from social networks or you do not want someone to find you through them. In these cases, you can deactivate the service for a while and resume it whenever you want.

Although your friends will not be able to search for you or send you messages, the data stored in your profile will remain guarded by Facebook so you can recover it when you decide to activate your account again.

This temporary suspension is very easy to do and you can find it quickly. To do this, the first thing you must do is click on the arrow-shaped icon that you will see on the right side of the screen next to the other Facebook options. In the drop-down menu select Settings. At that moment you will be redirected to another section where several options will be shown. You must click on Manage account and then on Deactivate account.

At that moment you will see an informational message indicating that your profile will be temporarily deleted, but some people may still have content or messages you have shared with them.

Reactivating the account again is the easiest thing in the world; when you want to recover it you just have to log in normally by entering your email and password. Once you have accessed, you will be able to see all your information again.

How to delete a Facebook account permanently?

If what you want is to delete the account permanently, you can do it, but the option is not as visible as in the case of deactivation. You will have to look inside Facebook’s options to find it.

The first thing you must do is enter the Facebook Frequently Asked Questions section, which appears identified with the initials FAQ. Click on it and you will see a collection of questions most frequently asked by social network users. Among this list you will find the option What do I have to do to permanently delete my account? As an answer to this question, a long text will appear that includes, camouflaged, the link that will take you to the option to permanently delete your account.

If you do not want to waste time looking for it, we make it easier for you, so you can access it easily. To delete your account click on www.facebook.com/help/delete_account.

Facebook does not want you to leave and will make an attempt to convince you. Before starting the process, images of your friends will appear with messages telling you they will miss you and asking you not to leave.

Below this message you will see a questionnaire that you must fill out in order to leave the social network. It asks you the reason for your departure. You can choose the one you consider appropriate and Facebook will give you a new alternative to your leaving. Close this window and click the blue button that says Deactivate. Again, they will ask for your confirmation which you must give by clicking on Deactivate now.

Finally, to verify your identity you must enter your password and a captcha code. At this moment an informational message will appear indicating that your account is suspended and will be permanently deleted in 14 days if you do not log in again. Meanwhile, the personal data may take up to 90 days to be permanently deleted from Facebook’s database.
