Since Riot Games released the closed beta version of their new game, Valorant, it has sparked great interest among fans of tactical PC shooters. Valorant has finally been officially released and can be downloaded without needing to enter any code or having received any invitation.
Valorant, the new rival to Fortnite
From the creators of League of Legends, Valorant arrives with the firm purpose of capturing the user's interest and taking it away from any other similar offer, such as the popular and widespread Fortnite or the recent Warzone that has been much talked about.
To start trying it, all you have to do is download the installer from its website and run it. The only condition is to create a Riot Games account to be able to access it.
As for your PC, it also needs to have some basic features to play Valorant.
- PC with Windows 7 or higher, 64-bit
- 4 GB of RAM
- Graphics card with 1 GB of VRAM
This is the minimum; from there, depending on the quality you want to play at and the number of FPS you seek (frames per second), you will need the following:
- Minimum setup for 30 fps: Intel Core 2 Duo and Intel HD 4000 GPU
- Recommended setup for 60 fps: Intel Core i3 and Nvidia GeForce GT730 GPU
- High-end setup for 144 fps or more: Intel Core i5 and Nvidia GTZ1050 Ti GPU

With the end of Valorant’s closed beta comes the “reality” of the game; all progress made during the trial period is erased and the only things that remain are some rewards, player cards, and the weapon charm. In this way, Riot Games wants to offer a similar gaming experience both for those who tried the beta and for those who resisted doing so.
Besides this peculiarity, to make life a little easier for newly arrived players, they will not often encounter more experienced players in the first matches.
In the weeks before Valorant’s open release, the company introduced different characters. Now, along with the official launch of the game, Reyna arrives, a new agent who joins the previous ones making a total of 11, and a new map called Ascent, so the total number of maps rises to four.
