SPC presents MAGNUS, its new mobile phone for seniors compatible with hearing aids, featuring a dual screen, guided dialing, and Smart Help

SPC MAGNUS features a loud ringtone and is designed to be used with all types of hearing aids without losing clarity or sound quality during calls.

The clamshell-style phone includes a charging base and the option to connect via USB-C cable, two direct memory buttons for calling frequent contacts, and a physical keypad with large numbers.

The SOS button on the back of the device allows users to request help from preset contacts with a single press, which, together with SPC’s three Smart Help features, makes it a tool for the peace of mind of both the user and their family.

SPC, the Spanish consumer electronics brand, has introduced the new mobile phone for seniors SPC MAGNUS. A device that combines ease of use with a wide range of features to help seniors stay more connected with their loved ones.

The new SPC MAGNUS is a clamshell-style mobile phone with a large physical keypad and dual color screens. The main screen, measuring 2.8 inches, is designed to offer a user experience where clarity and versatility are integral to the device. The outer screen, on the other hand, measures 1.77 inches and is intended to display the time, date, battery status, and other useful information at a glance.

Designed for comfort

One of the main new features of the SPC MAGNUS is the optional voice-guided dialing to help senior users make calls to their loved ones. This feature greatly simplifies the calling process, providing an intuitive and hassle-free experience, making it the perfect solution for those who need easier communication.

Additionally, the phone’s two direct memory buttons, labeled M1 and M2, become the perfect ally for those who want to keep their favorite contacts just one touch away. By pressing one of these buttons, users can call frequent contacts directly without having to search through the contact list. Furthermore, SPC MAGNUS includes a centrally located shortcut button for messages to facilitate quick access and text interaction.

SPC MAGNUS is designed to make phone calls clear and crisp. One of its standout features is its compatibility with all types of hearing aids on the market. Additionally, the inclusion of a ensures that calls are always audible. With these features, users always enjoy clean, clear sound tailored to their needs.

SPC Smart Help and SOS Button included

SPC MAGNUS comes with Smart Help, SPC’s three intelligent assistance functions: Remote Configuration, Smart Notifications, and Smart Ringtone. This feature has made SPC’s senior phones a useful tool for older users while providing peace of mind to their families.

Through Remote Configuration, senior users can grant permission to up to 5 phone numbers to remotely adjust the SPC MAGNUS via SMS, making setup easier. To avoid missing important calls, the Smart Ringtone automatically raises the volume to maximum if it detects the same person trying to call within 3 minutes after an unanswered call attempt. After answering, the phone volume returns to the previously set level.

Smart Notifications are the third Smart Help feature. They allow designated helpers to stay informed if prolonged inactivity is detected on the phone. If the device senses no key presses, no opening or closing of the flip in the last 24 hours, or if it hasn’t been charged, SPC MAGNUS will automatically send a notification to trusted contacts previously set by the user.

Likewise, the SOS button, strategically located on the back of the device, is a vital emergency tool. Pressing it for three seconds triggers three rounds of automatic calls to five preset emergency contacts until one answers. This function also sends an SMS to the five contacts and emits a sound signal so people nearby can assist the senior user. This way, the user can request help without opening the phone or using the keypad, saving time in emergencies.

Simple, yet perfect for everyday use

The new SPC MAGNUS aims to be a daily companion for seniors. To enhance safety and autonomy, it offers two charging options. On one hand, a practical charging base, ideal for keeping the phone visible and within reach, and on the other, the versatility of a reversible USB-C connector. The latter eliminates the hassle of failed attempts since it connects and starts charging immediately regardless of how it is inserted.

Additionally, SPC MAGNUS includes other useful features for seniors such as FM radio, alarm clock with alarm, flashlight, calculator, and calendar. The device also covers connectivity needs with Bluetooth 3.0 and a 3.5 mm headphone jack for connecting headphones.

SPC MAGNUS supports dual SIM cards and a microSD card up to 16GB. It can store up to 300 contacts in its phonebook. SPC has left nothing out in designing the new MAGNUS, which also includes a rear camera with flash.

Its ease of use, with menus designed to allow quick and intuitive access to functions in just a few taps, is an essential part of a device made for a generation of users who demand simple technology to make their daily lives easier.
