SPC, the Spanish technology brand, has introduced its new clamshell mobile phone for seniors, called SPC TITAN VIEW. A device with a practical and attractive design that combines ease of use with features that help seniors stay connected with their loved ones and request help quickly and easily when needed.
One of the most important features that makes this model so special is its cover. It includes a physical button through which it is possible to activate the screen whenever desired without having to open the phone. Additionally, the screen can be viewed at any time without opening the cover because it has a window to check, for example, incoming calls or SMS, making this task easier for seniors and preventing accidental calls or other actions.
The device features a 1.77-inch full-color screen. When opening the cover, a generous physical keypad is revealed, with perfect visibility and access to two direct memory buttons to communicate in seconds with preconfigured contacts by simply pressing and holding (to avoid accidental calls). Just press a key and the call will start automatically. It also offers up to nine additional indirect calls by configuring buttons 1 to 9 as memory keys. Regarding its phonebook, it can store up to 300 contacts and allows adding a photo to the 8 main contacts.
Safety for seniors with Smart Help functions and SOS button
SPC TITAN VIEW integrates the three Smart Help functions for seniors: smart notifications, smart ringtone, and remote configuration.
In remote configuration, the senior user authorizes five phone numbers to make remote adjustments to the SPC TITAN VIEW via text messages, simplifying the initial setup. To prevent missed calls, its smart ringtone, extra loud, automatically increases the volume to maximum if it detects the same person trying to call again within 3 minutes after an unanswered initial call. Once the call is answered, the phone volume resets to the preconfigured level.
Smart notifications are the third Smart Help feature. Thanks to them, the assistants assigned by the senior user can be alerted if prolonged inactivity is detected on the phone. If the device notices no activity, such as no key presses, no opening or closing of the cover in the last 24 hours, or if it hasn’t been charged, the SPC TITAN VIEW will automatically send a notification to the previously selected trusted contacts.
It also includes an SOS button to automatically request help from family and close contacts if necessary. By pressing the SOS button for three seconds, the phone makes three cycles of automatic calls to five preselected emergency contacts until one answers. This function also sends a text message to the five contacts and emits a sound alert, allowing people near the senior user to assist.
FM radio, camera, Bluetooth, flashlight, calendar, and much more
Its FM radio allows users to enjoy their favorite stations and programs both through headphones (3.5 mm jack) and hands-free mode.
The device charges via USB-C cable, offering greater convenience due to its reversible connector and because it uses the same charging cable as most electronic devices. Regarding connectivity, the new mobile phone features Bluetooth for wireless connection with other devices.
SPC TITAN VIEW includes dual SIM, the option to expand internal memory with a microSD card up to 16 GB, and a camera with flash.
Calculator, calendar, alarm, hands-free, flashlight, and the option to configure the menu in multiple languages complete a phone that blends design and ease of use, with features that provide great peace of mind both for the user and their family and friends.
