Today marks the launch in Spain of Geecool, the first refurbished brand aimed at mass consumption of Spanish origin. According to the consulting firm IDC, sales of refurbished devices in Spain will grow at a rate above 13.6% until 2023, when a total of 332.9 million units sold is expected. Specifically, in the smartphone category, which Geecool will focus on at launch, Counterpoint reports that sales of refurbished smartphones grew three times faster than new devices during 2021.
