Since its first version in 2016, the HARMONY phone family has become one of SPC’s most iconic. Over nearly a decade, this model has evolved several times to include key improvements such as hearing aid compatibility, SMART HELP remote assistance, and the jump to 4G connectivity, without losing sight of its original purpose: making communication for older adults with their environment simpler, more accessible, and safer. The new HARMONY 2 represents the most advanced version to date, adapted both to everyday challenges and new technological and sustainability standards.
Durable, long-lasting, and easy to use daily
This new SPC phone stands out for its great durability, in line with European ecodesign regulations. Its main screen has grown to 2.8 inches, improving readability and, together with the 1.77-inch external screen, offers optimal visibility both indoors and outdoors. Both are made with 4 Mohs hardness glass resistant to scratches, so the device is protected even inside bags or pockets.
Additionally, its structure has been tested to withstand up to 45 drops and features IP44 protection against splashes and dust particles, reinforcing its reliability as a safe and durable option for older adults.
Its battery also provides up to nine days of autonomy under standard use and eleven hours of continuous talk time. Thanks to the included charging base, recharging is as simple as placing it on its stand. It also includes a reversible USB-C connector, which can be more convenient when traveling or for second homes.
Easy connection and assistance
In a medical emergency, every second counts. If an older adult falls, has an accident, or loses consciousness, having basic health information can make a difference in their prognosis. That’s why the HARMONY 2 includes quick access to the ICE profile (In Case of Emergency), a space that allows storing key medical data such as blood type, age, or emergency contact. This information can be easily accessed by pressing the number one key, facilitating healthcare personnel intervention in critical situations and providing peace of mind to both the user and their circle.
Older adults may experience dizziness or disorientation episodes at some point. In these emergencies, finding a contact in the phonebook or dialing a number can be complicated or even impossible. For these cases, the SPC HARMONY 2 includes an SOS emergency button on the back of the device, which triggers a chain of automatic calls to up to five predefined contacts and activates hands-free mode when one is answered to facilitate communication without holding the device. Additionally, this SOS button allows sending a customizable emergency message, enabling faster and more precise action when help is most needed.
The phone also includes the SMART HELP system, a set of smart features that allow remote device configuration by family members and/or trusted contacts via SMS sent from their personal phone to the HARMONY 2. It also includes features like the smart ringtone, which automatically raises the volume after missed calls, and notifications that alert a trusted contact if it detects an unusual period of inactivity on the phone.
Designed to see, hear, and communicate better
Designed for older adults, the XL keys offer greater security and accuracy when typing or dialing a number. They also include a speaking key function that reads aloud each pressed digit to avoid mistakes and make it easier for those with reduced vision. To speed up frequent calls, the device allows assigning images to up to eight contacts, as well as configuring three direct memories and eight speed dials, providing immediate access to the most important numbers.
Regarding sound, the HARMONY 2 offers a powerful and clear audio experience, with a ringtone reaching up to 104 decibels, making it easy to hear even in noisy environments. Additionally, many older adults use hearing aids, and without the right technology, phones often cause interference, buzzing, or make understanding calls difficult. To prevent this, this SPC phone includes HAC technology (Hearing Aid Compatibility), ensuring full compatibility with hearing aids, delivering clear, distortion-free calls tailored to the user’s hearing needs.
