Designed for children who start moving with more independence, WILD STAR offers in a flip phone format the essential functions children need to stay in touch with their families: calls, GPS, messages, and SOS button, without internet or social network access.
Thanks to its integration with the SPC Circles app, mothers and fathers can check location, manage the authorized contact list for incoming calls, and receive safety alerts for low battery or inactivity.
With this launch, SPC expands its ecosystem of child technology under the SPC Circles umbrella, an app designed to support families in the gradual incorporation of technology during the different stages of children's growth.
The Spanish technology brand for families, SPC, introduces SPC WILD STAR,a flip phone with 4G connectivity and GPS designed so that preteens can make calls and be locatable in their first steps towards independence, without distractions from notifications, internet access, social networks, or apps.
With this launch, SPC expands its ecosystem of solutions for children and teenagers with a device designed to support families when children begin to move more independently. WILD STAR is the first basic phone integrated with SPC Circles, the parental support app that allows mothers and fathers to manage various settings and security functions of the device remotely.
The new phone joins a portfolio that already includes solutions like the evolutionary device WUUM ONE and the WUUM TAB tablet. With this new proposal, WILD STAR focuses on communication, location, and safety for the stage when children start moving on their own and need a simple first phone, while families have tools to support them calmly even from a distance.
A first phone to take the step towards independence
WILD STAR meets the first needs for autonomy and communication of children without advancing access to a full smartphone. Designed as a basic first phone, it allows them to gradually become familiar with technology in a simple and limited environment, while the family supports this process through SPC Circles.
SPC WILD STAR was created to offer preteens a simple and secure way to stay connected. The device allows managing a whitelist both from the device itself and remotely from the SPC Circles parental accompaniment app to receive calls and messages only from contacts selected by the families, focusing the experience on the necessary functions for the first contact with technology. Without internet access, social networks, or apps, it avoids distractions and external content so children can gradually and safely start exploring the digital world.
SPC Circles: safety for the little ones and peace of mind for the whole family
SPC WILD STAR is the first phone without internet access integrated with SPC Circles, so that mothers and fathers can manage the main safety and accompaniment functions from the adults' device remotely, without needing physical access to the child's phone*.
Thanks to the GPS location included in WILD STAR, parents can check the location of their children from the app if needed and set up custom safety zones to be notified when the device leaves the established perimeter. This way, families have an additional tool to accompany the child's first independent movements, with access to their location when necessary.
Additionally, WILD STAR is designed to provide a quick response to any unforeseen event, featuring a physical SOS button that, when pressed and held, automatically activates a sequence of calls to the configured emergency contacts and starts sending a help message. Both the button and the emergency contacts can be configured remotely from the SPC Circles app.
From the app, it is also possible to manage the contact list, view call history and battery level, and configure different alerts, such as low battery, missed calls, or prolonged inactivity periods.
*Some functionalities will be implemented in upcoming updates.
